The Love of God

Posted on November 2, 2022 by Published by

“For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. Indeed, rarely will anyone die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person someone might actually dare to die. But God proves his love for us in that while we still were sinners Christ died for us.”

~Romans 5:6-8

If there were ever one key message I would never tire of giving, one central theme to proclaim again and again, this video captures it. Because without catching the love story of our faith, nothing else makes a whole lot of sense. Our faith and our lives really have no meaning apart from what some writers have quipped, ‘the reckless, raging fury” that they call the love of God.

Unfortunately, if you say something enough, over time words can lose their raw, imaginative power. We recite these religious phrases over and over again until they mean nothing to us. But while the gospel may be old news to some, it’s still as fresh and real and good as it’s ever been. Just ask a new believer how Jesus ambushed their life. You’ll hear how God cut through the chaos to reach and rescue a lost and broken soul. Every day, the fire of his love is still melting hearts of stone and transforming lives in our midst.

How about it? Give this video two minutes and my prayer is that it will re-orient your day and your life to flow from a love affair with God — a place of grateful response and not merely responsibility.
