Today is World Suicide Prevention Day
Today is World Suicide Prevention Day.
Sometimes, it is difficult for those who are struggling to see the light from the shadows. Reach out, hug your loved ones, remind them that they are precious and that their lives matter.
Be the light.
During the month of September, we remember and pray for those who are struggling with feelings of depression, isolation, emptiness, and/or hopelessness, and who may be contemplating suicide. We also pray for those who minister and care for those suffering from these feelings — priests, religious, healthcare professionals, parents, siblings, families, and friends. And we remember those who have lost loved ones to the tragedy of suicide.
If you are contemplating harming yourself, or know someone who is, please get help! Know that you are loved, you matter, you are God’s creation, and that you have the power to make a positive difference in the world, and in the lives of others.
During the month of September, we will post information and resources on this website and on our social media channels. Additional information can also be found here and here.
