All To God; All For God
Everything that we are and everything that we have belongs to God. He created our bodies, our minds, our hearts, and our souls. God bestowed us with talents and gifts. Everything that happens in our lives—whether good or bad—is permitted by God’s love.
Our life on earth is a gradual process of rendering to God the gifts, sufferings, joys, and trials that He has given us—our very lives—out of love and gratitude to Him. By giving our lives to God, we unite ourselves with the Lord and make space in our minds, hearts and souls, to receive the even greater gifts that God wants to give us; for, nothing that we receive or are during this life truly compares to what He has prepared in the life to come for those who love Him (1Cor 2:9).
The rising tensions throughout the world remind us that we know neither the day nor the hour when the Lord will come (Matt 25:13). So, let us make every genuine effort that we can each day to turn our whole minds, hearts, and souls to the God Who loves us, and offer to Him all that we are, so that we will be ready to meet Him when our hour of passing from this life to the next comes.
To this end, I would like to encourage you to invite the Blessed Mother into your life, asking Her to help you to be like Her: always ready to accept and do the will of God in peace.
Yours in Christ,
Father Arthur
