Celebrate 70 Fun Fact: The Waysider

Our Lady of the Wayside’s Founder and First Pastor was many things: determined, hard-working, faithful, courageous, strong-willed, leader, and visionary, to name a few.
On August 17, 1952, Fr. Harold T. O’Hara added “publisher” to this list when he launched the very first edition of our Parish Bulletin, “The Waysider.” Note his visionary comment, “All the facilities we will build will be monuments to the generosity of our people.”
