A Savior is Born!
“Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For today in the city of David a savior has been born for you who is Messiah and Lord.”
My Dear Parishioners,
With so many uncertainties in our life we need constant assurance of God’s love for us. Despite the world’s denial of faith in Christ, we must remind ourselves that the message of salvation is still relevant today. We know that what the angel announced to the shepherds two thousand years ago is also directed to us: “Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy.”
The Son of God came down from heaven so that we can find the way to heaven and be there with God forever!
The angel’s announcement spoken to the shepherds touches the hearts of modern men and women too: “today in the city of David a savior has been born for you who is Messiah and Lord.” Jesus is the Lord who knows His people and cares for them; He wants to be born again in our hearts and our homes. If we want to be assured of His love, we must take a leap of faith, that is, to believe that Jesus Christ is near, present in His Church and in the hearts of His people.
