Religious Education Program

REP News – Week of June 2nd

Friday, June 7
Kindergarten Graduation will take place on Friday June 7 at 10:00 a.m. in the gym.  There will be additional traffic on campus.

Tuesday, June 11
The School end of the year Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. We will be recognizing our departing faculty and staff members who are retiring – Mrs. Pat Gatewood, seventh grade teacher and Mrs. Ann Brice, Assistant Business Manager.

Following school dismissal the teachers will celebrate with an end of the year luncheon in the Gathering Place.

Monday, June 17
Vacation Bible School will begin and will be held in the Middle School building. All rooms and the gym will be used.

We thank Mrs. Meghan Bauer and Mrs. Katie Utech who have generously stepped forward to lead the program.

REGISTRATION FOR R.E.P. CLASSES
If you know of a family in which the student will be entering 1st grade or 6th grade, please advise them of the
following:

• Students entering Grade 2 must have had formal religious instruction the previous year, otherwise they will be placed in Grade 1.
• Grade 2 is a sacrament year, as students will receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist for the first time.
• Students entering Grade 7 must have had formal religious instruction in Grade 6 before being accepted into the Grades 7-8 Confirmation Preparation Program.

Parents whose children will be new to the program are asked to turn in their registration form along with a copy of their child’s Baptismal Certificate.  Forms and other program information can be found online at the parish website (olwparish.org) under the Education>Religious Education tab and weekly REP News can be found under the “News & Events” tab.
