A Note On Current Events From The OLW Parish Pastoral Council
Fellow Parishioners,
It was a real surprise to learn in the Wayside Wednesday weekly email about the departure of Father Winters. While we are sad to see him go, let’s remember to pray for him during his transition.
As the saying goes, “The only constant in life is change.” Please join me in embracing this change. After all, WE are the church. Together, we contribute to its vibrancy, energy and strength. We pray together, we support one another and we love one another.
I was comforted that Bishop Rassas, a frequent visitor of Our Lady of the Wayside, communicated how complementary he thought Father Artur Marat will be as our new Administrator. Additionally, Father Artur is among the priests being considered for a pastor position. Please extend a warm welcome to him.
The Diocesan process for our Pastor selection is currently progressing as explained back in November. As they indicated, we hope to have news of an appointment in mid-to-late March. At this time, we have nothing additional to report other than the process is in the works.
Together let’s pray and trust that God has a bright future planned for Our Lady of the Wayside Church. Now, more than ever, we have to come together as a community in Christ, support and pray for one another and our priests, and trust in God’s plan for our parish. We appreciate everyone’s support!
Should you wish to reach out to me, you can do so at pastoralcouncilchair@olwparish.org.
Sincerely,
Bud Trunk
Parish Pastoral Council* Chair
