Giving Tree 2024: Christmas Angels Needed

We invite you to join us in making a difference for individuals and families of Our Lady of Unity Parish (formerly St. Mark’s) who are in great need this Christmas Season. Families are struggling and the need for warm clothes and food continues.

Here’s a brief explanation of how our Giving Tree works: Our Lady of Unity provides a list of family members of all ages who need help. For many, Wayside’s contribution will be the only material gifts they receive.

We aim to make the Holiday special for children, adults, and families. To best meet their needs, we ask that your gift be provided as a gift card that allows parents to purchase exactly what their child wants or needs. A gift card for an adult may provide for the purchase of a much-needed warm sweater or gloves.

Each envelope hung on Giving Trees in the back of chruch represents an individual who needs our help. Enclosed in each envelope is a slip for ordering gift certificates and a QR code for those who prefer to use Pushpay. You may purchase gift cards on your own, or use the slip to indicate your gift amount and store choice. Return the envelope with your check and the completed slip, and we will purchase the gift card through our school program.

Please place your return gift envelope in the boxes at the back of the church near the Giving Trees or at the Parish Office. The final date for gift return is December 8, 2024. This allows time for our gifts to be delivered to and distributed at Our Lady of Unity and gives the families time to shop.
