Our Lady of the Wayside School’s last Buddy activity of the year was a fun exercise based on the book, “If I Built a School” by Chris Van Dusen.

Buddy pairs worked together and wrote ideas they thought would make the school better. There were some very creative, pie in the sky ideas, as well as great ideas for the administration to consider, including…

• A pool
• A mini mall
• A petting zoo
• Ice cream every lunch period
• 3-day weekends always
• A roller coaster
• No homework or tests ever
• NEW BATHROOMS

Petting zoos and roller coasters aside, our students asked for something practical – updated bathrooms! Our Lady of the Wayside’s Middle School bathrooms are 60+ YEARS OLD. Our students, and everyone in the parish, deserve something better.

Renovation of the bathrooms in underway, as part of the modernization of our parish campus. This project will benefit everyone! It is partially funded, but we need more financial support to make our goal. Please, if you can, make a donation to this project today.
