OLW PARISHIONERS MEET NEW ADMINISTRATOR
Our Lady of the Wayside parishioners met our new Administrator, Father Bart Winters, at Masses last weekend. Father Winters was named OLW Administrator by Cardinal Blase Cupich to replace OLW’s outgoing pastor, Father Edward Fialkowski.
Father Ed, who has served as OLW’s pastor for the past 14 years, has been re-assigned to St. Luke’s Parish in River Forest in a less-demanding role as Associate Pastor.
Father Winters was ordained in 1983 and has served in numerous positions in the Archdiocese of Chicago, including associate pastor at St. Nicholas in Evanston, pastor at St. Gregory the Great, associate pastor at St. Alphonsus in Chicago, and a faculty member at the Archdiocese of Chicago seminary in Mundelein.
Father Ed’s Farewell Mass at OLW will be at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 27. A reception will follow in the Father Mackin Center. All are invited.
