OLW, The Early Years; Video Interview with Dr. Tom Horrigan
To fully appreciate Our Lady of the Wayside Parish as it exists today, it’s important (and interesting) to understand its past. Our Lady of the Wayside’s Communications Director, Sean Reilly, recently had the privilege of discussing the founding years of our parish with Dr. Thomas Horrigan.
Dr. Horrigan, an OLW Parishioner since 1961, shared memories of a very determined Father O’Hara (our first pastor), the spirit of our pioneer parishioners (including the “Sunshine Boys”), OLW School and it’s rapid growth, and more. See chapters below.
Special thanks to Dr. Horrigan for the generosity of his time and memories, and to Kathy O’Neill for arranging this interview. To watch a larger version of the video on YouTube, click here.
