Grotto Action Update
The Knights of Columbus, Holy Rosary Council, are in action here at Our Lady of the Wayside. The Knights are more than just those guys in the funny hats and capes. At the request of Fathers Arthur and Gilbert, they are building a grotto on the south side of the church, located between the rectory stairs and the stairs leading to the priests sacristy. Landscaping is nearly complete.
The Grotto budget is $30,000. The Knights secured the services of a landscape architect, horticulturist/artist, a tree removal service and a landscaper to insure the work is done properly. The statue of the Blessed Virgin (pictured), is scheduled to arrive from Italy next March. Target completion is May 1, 2024.
The Knights secured pledges and donations from numerous generous individuals and now ask for your help in meeting the goal. We still have invoices to pay and work to complete the project. You will see your donation to the Knights of Columbus in action, for years to come.
