Mass Celebrated for Beginning of REP Year

Our Lady of the Wayside’s Religious Education Program (REP) began its new year with a special 6 pm Mass for the children, parents, and catechists. Energy and enthusiasm were noticeably high as all gathered in prayer and song.  Fathers Arthur and Gilbert concelebrated. Deacon Jerry assisted. Music was provided by Dan McMahon, OLW’s Music Director. Danielle Pitzer, Director of Lifelong Faith Formation and head of the Religious Education Program participated as well.

Father Gilbert’s Homily was uplifting and he encouraged the children to pray often — at meals, before bed, when they start their day, before sports events, and before dancing — and he encouraged them to go home and ask their parents and families to pray with them.

Let’s pray for our REP children and catechists as they embark on this new year.
