Celebrate 70! Fun Fact: Custom Easter Suit/Dress Raffle

Our Lady of the Wayside’s Catholic Woman’s Club held a raffle for a custom made Easter outfit — a suit or a dress — to raise funds for the new Church’s construction. The raffle was held on March 14, 1957, leaving ample time to tailor the outfit so it could be worn by the winner on Easter. Raffle cards contained ten chances to win for $1.
