Brahms Requiem Concert Planned, March 22

The St. James Parish Music Ministry will present the Requiem by Johannes Brahms on Wednesday, March 22 at 7:00 pm in the church.

Originally premiered in 1868, this landmark work for orchestra, chorus and soloists takes its text from Scripture. It is a prayerful meditation on the truth of the resurrection of the dead.

St. James Music Director Tamaron Conseur will conduct the chorus and chamber orchestra. Our chorus, made up of parishioners and community members, is joined by soloists Dan Richardson (bass) and Sarah van der Ploeg (soprano).

There is no cost to attend the concert. A free-will collection will be taken up.
