MEET THE ELECT! – RCIA Class of 2019
![]() Michael A. – Going through the R.C.I.A. program at Our Lady of the Wayside has been a great experience. Growing up I was not a part of a church community nor did I have a religious upbringing. The R.C.I.A. team has been very welcoming and open to any questions I have had over the last several months. If there was a “why/how” question that they were unable to help me understand, they would find other resources that I could read over to get a better understanding. Going through the program has also helped bring me closer to my soon to be wife. I have a much better understanding of her beliefs and values, and we have begun to pray together. Overall, I am very thankful to the R.C.I.A. team for taking the time to help guide me while I learn more and more about Catholicism. |
Anthony M. – I began as a lost soul who finally admitted it was time to be found. That coupled with the fortunate meeting of a wonderful woman – who together ![]() |
![]() Corey S. – I joined R.C.I.A. hoping to simply better understand the Catholic faith. I married into a devoutly Catholic family, that has been actively involved in the Church. Initially, I wasn’t sure if this was something I would be willing or able to fully commit to, but the further I progressed in the program, the more I felt I was learning and receiving in return. R.C.I.A. has been a great way for me to fully understand the Catholic faith, and has allowed me to have a deeper connection with my family, let alone my relationship with God. I am truly thankful and blessed for the R.C.I.A. team and program, and all that it has done for my life. |
