St. Joseph of Cupertino was known as the ‘flying Franciscan friar.” When he was a teen, Joseph’s mother convinced the Abbot to accept him into the monastery. He was supported by a kindly local bishop who saw his true nature and potential. Through a series of miraculous incidents, simple and pious Joseph was ordained a priest.
