Please Join Us for Morning Rosary
This Lent, Fathers Arthur and Dominic invite Our Lady of the Wayside parishioners to pray the Rosary as a united parish family.
The Rosary is prayed in our Church at 8:00 am (just prior to the 8:30 am daily mass) on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Pray the Rosary and, if you can, please stay for Mass and Holy Communion. What better way to begin your day?
All are invited, and Father Dominic wishes to extend a special invitation to all School and REP parents who drop their children off each morning. Please join us!
It takes just 20 minutes to pray the Rosary, and the spiritual benefits can last a lifetime.
Power in Prayer
Holy mother of Jesus, we honor you each time we pray the Most Holy Rosary.
Please intercede for our parishioners, for our Parish in your name, for our families,
for the Catholic Church and its shepherds, for our country, and for our world.
Please pray for an increase in Faith, Hope and Charity.
Please pray for a Conversion of Hearts and Minds.
Please pray for Peace throughout our World.
Amen.
Our Lady of the Wayside, pray for us!
A Good Read
Rediscover the Rosary: The Modern Power of an Ancient Prayer, by Dynamic Catholic’s Matthew Kelly
We live hectic lives in a chaotic world. All this can lead to a confusion that fogs the mind, unsettles the soul, and leads to poor decisions. Amidst such chaos and confusion, we long to hear God’s voice with greater clarity.
God wants to put things in order. He wants to rearrange our priorities. If we let him, we will be happier than we ever thought possible in this lifetime, and finally then we will come to know the peace for which we all yearn, but so few of us ever find. Our Catholic spirituality is constantly inviting us to establish the deep roots of order in our lives, and one of the best ways I know to do that is by praying the Rosary.
The Rosary works. It’s a very powerful way to pray. There is just something about it that settles our hearts and minds. It puts everything in perspective and allows us to see things as they really are. It reaches deep down into our souls and puts us at ease, creating a peace that is rare and beautiful.
