Baumgartner Family Receives Christifideles Award
Father Arthur, Father Gilbert and the Our Lady of the Wayside Community would like to extend heartfelt congratulations and a big thank you to Matt and Katy Baumgartner (and family), recipients of this year’s Christifideles Award. The award is given on behalf of Cardinal Blase Cupich and the Archdiocese of Chicago in recognition of generous service in the life of the Church.
Matt and Katy have been Our Lady of the Wayside parishioners with their four children for 14 years. They understand the teachings of the Church through their involvement in parish ministries. Katy is the Parish Picnic Chair and is involved in Little Saints Pray & Play, Vacation Bible School and Family Masses. Matt is an active member of the Parish Finance Council. Together, they served as last year’s chair couple of OLW’s Christian Family Movement (CFM).
Matt, Katy and their four children set a perfect example for young families at Our Lady of the Wayside Parish. They are #doers, #differencemakers and #deciples.
