Scenes from June Outdoor Family Mass
Approximately 350 of OLW’s faithful (and guests) turned out for the season’s first Outdoor Family Mass last Sunday at 9:30 am. The Mass was concelebrated by a special guest, Bishop Jovitus Francis Mwijage of the Catholic Diocese of Bukoba, and by Father Gilbert. Deacon Jerry assisted.
Bishop Mwijage, who is Director of Pontifical Mission Societies Missionary Childhood Association, congratulated OLW for the children’s participation at Mass that included 17 choir members including 2 cantors (led by Dan McMahon, Music Director, and Emilia Walasik, Youth Ministry Director), 3 readers, 3 gift bearers and 6 ushers.
OLW’s Operations Director, Patrick Fitzgerald and his wife, Mary Jeanne (and others) were on-hand to provide post-mass nourishment (aka donuts) and coffee.
