Jerky for the Troops 2024

Posted on February 9, 2024 by Published by

Jerky is the most requested item from our troops overseas. Jerky for the Troops is a program started 20 years ago by the Northwest Town Sportsmen Club, a club of all types of outdoors men. This wonderful program is sponsored by the American Legion Post 208, Sons of the American Legion 208, Auxiliary Post 208 and Junior Auxiliary Post 208.

The mission of Jerky for the Troops is to collect fresh venison from local hunters, convert it to jerky and ship it to our troops overseas. Each year, Jerky for the Troops sets another record! All this is done by volunteers who convert hundreds of pounds of donated fresh, free-range venison into jerky for the troops. The gift of jerky really hits home with the troop. It’s a taste of home.

Adopt a Box: Shipping is a major cost. Please consider adopting a box. A $25 donation will cover the postage for shipping to an APO box. More would be greatly appreciated. Details below.
