40 Hours of Lenten Adoration, Guardians Needed
As we begin our 40 day Lenten journey there is no better way to start this season of prayer, fasting and alms giving than spending an hour with our Lord in Adoration. 40 Hours of Lenten Adoration will take place in OLW’s Gathering Place from 8 pm on Wednesday, February 14, through Noon on Friday, February 16.
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is one of our church’s most beautiful and powerful devotions. It offers us a time to worship God in the person of Jesus Christ who is truly present in the Eucharist. In adoration we receive the grace of God’s Mercy and become merciful so that we can give it to others. Our world is in desperate need of hope, renewal, and turning back to God. By visiting Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, we take up the best weapon for the battles of our age and contribute to the healing of our culture. Eucharistic adoration also bears tremendous fruit in our own hearts and lives. We cannot spend time in the rays of His Eucharistic Presence without receiving His grace, His love, His mercy, His peace.
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament requires that a guardian be present for each of the 40 hours. To volunteer for a one-hour guardian shift(s), please CLICK HERE.
