Grotto Action Update: WE DID IT!
We Did It!
Through the generosity of the Our Lady of the Wayside community, ministries, alumni, and the Knights of Columbus, we achieved our fundraising goal of $30,000 for the Grotto Project.
Our Lady and patroness will soon grace our Church and Rectory along Park Street. This prayerful site will invite and welcome parishioners and passers-by to prayer and reflection for decades to come. Your donations made this possible!
Comments on the grotto’s appearance to date have been incredibly positive. Please keep in mind the hedges behind the statue are only 42 inches tall and will grow to the appropriate height within the next few years. And now we all anxiously await the arrival of the Blessed Mother statue, currently scheduled for late March.
As we push through winter and head towards spring, we will keep you advised on the next steps in the project.
