Celebrate 70! Fun Fact: New Beginnings…

The first service in the new (unfinished) Our Lady of the Wayside Church was a Nuptial Mass offered Saturday morning, September 28, 1957. Married were Miss Josephine Freiburger of Rolling Meadows and Edward Unterfenger of Chicago. Our first pastor, Rev. Harold T. O’Hara was the celebrant.
Fittingly, this was a new beginning for the happy couple and for our new church.
