OLW Youth Gather to ‘Encounter’

Many thanks to our Youth Ministry team and their volunteers for starting up with 8th graders this year! They will meet for ‘Encounter’ on four Sundays before they make the sacrament of Confirmation.
The theme for the first meeting in September was ‘rules’ (aka the 10 commandments) and how they are meant to keep us safe while also bringing us closer to Jesus and leading us to Heaven. Students played games, watched a silly video but also a video from Bishop Baron, and met for small group discussion. There were also snacks.
Father Gilbert opened the evening with prayer and the Holy Spirit was watching the group and smiling.
