Marian Rosary Devotion Invites You To Discover The Miracle of LaSalette

September 19th, marks the 177th anniversary, of this Miracle when the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to two young shepherds in the French Alpine hamlet of LaSalette. To celebrate, St. Theresa Parish welcomes distinguished guest speaker, Fr. Andrzej Zagorski, who will guide attendees in understanding the significance of the LaSalette Apparition and its relevance in today’s world.

In this talk, Father Zagorski will:

• Explore the historical context of the LaSalette Apparition
• Reflect on the Miracle’s significance in our faith journey
• Examine Mary’s message of hope, reunion and conversion

About the Apparition:

Mélanie Mathieu and Maximin Giraud were startled by a brilliant ball of light revealing a beautiful lady seated along a hillside with her face buried in her hands. The “beautiful lady,” as the children described her, was the Blessed Virgin Mary, who was crying inconsolably. The children were afraid, but as The Beautiful Lady spoke, their fears began to subside. She said, “Come closer, my children. Do not be afraid.”

She told them that her sadness was caused by those who had no room in their lives for God. She spoke of the evils of the day and of the need for conversion. She ended with the words, “Well, my children, you will make this known to all my people.” Then she slowly disappeared into the sky.
