Celebrate 70 Fun Fact: Men’s Golf League

The Men’s Golf League is the longest-continuing organization at Our Lady of the Wayside. It teed off for the first time on Wednesday, May 1, 1957, at Chevy Chase Golf Course. Eight teams of five men each were formed to play on a round-robin and alternate 9-hole schedule. Alternates filled in for regulars, when needed, during the 16-week season. The season concluded with a banquet for all participants, alternates, and sponsors.
