Celebrate 70 Fun Fact: First Parish Picnic

On Sunday, September 7, 1952, Our Lady of the Wayside held its first Parish Picnic to acquaint parishioners with each other and with the pastor. It was a bring-your-own-lunch affair, with games and contests for every age group.
Before the picnic and games could begin, the hay and weeds had to be cleared from the grounds. All hands on deck!
