Renew My Church: Meeting #1
On Saturday morning, November 12, representatives from Our Lady of the Wayside and four neighboring Vicariate I parishes attended the first (of two) Renew My Church sessions. This first meeting focused on three key areas: (1) Laying the Foundation for Renewal, (2) A New Model for a New Missionary Age, and (3) Assessing the Parish Landscape. We were reminded that we are called to make disciples, to build communities, and to inspire witness.
All present reviewed key parish metrics, evaluated their parishes’ strengths and weaknesses, and explored growth opportunities and ways to carry Jesus’ message to the world.

The RMC groups will meet again next Saturday for a deeper dive on goal setting and creating a framework for this most-important journey of renewal.
