Pray a Holy Hour for Life
Can you not watch one hour with me? ~Matt. 26:40
Our Lady of the Wayside’s Respect Life Ministry is hosting 40 hours of perpetual adoration for life beginning on Friday, October 21 at 5:00 pm, and concluding on Sunday, October 23, at 9:00 am.
This solemn, forty-hour exposition of the Blessed Sacrament — introduced in 1527 and propagated by the Jesuits under St. Ignatius — honors the forty hours the body of Christ is believed to have rested in the tomb.
There is no greater time spent than that in front of the Blessed Sacrament and in His divine presence. Come be present with God and, as Venerable Fulton Sheen said, “…keep the Hour to grow more into His likeness. Looking at the Eucharistic Lord for an hour transforms the heart in a mysterious way…”
Registration slots are in one hour increments. We must have at least one adorer present at all times during the 40-hours. You may sign up for more than one time slot during the 40 hours. Please REGISTER HERE.
