Deacon Paul to OLW School Children: Lead Your Family Back to Mass

Posted on November 11, 2021 by Published by

In his homily at OLW’s School Mass on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, Deacon Paul Onischuk compared the parable of the one thankful leper (of ten) with the number of families who regularly attend Mass at Our Lady of the Wayside.

He shared that, of roughly 2,100 registered families, about 700 (or one-third) regularly attend mass in our church, and he questioned if the children thought Jesus is pleased with 33% attendance.

Deacon Paul concluded by urging the children to be difference-makers and disciples by sharing the parable of the one thankful leper with their parents, and by leading their families back to church and to the Eucharist.
