Bulletin Cover Artists Wanted!

Posted on November 5, 2021 by Published by

We’re looking to do something exciting and different with our Advent and Christmas Parish Bulletin Covers this year…

Calling 3rd, 4th and 5th grade artists!

The parish is looking for student artwork for the Advent and Christmas bulletins. These special covers will begin the first weekend of Advent, November 28 and continue through Christmas. Any OLW School or REP student in 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade may submit a picture (or several) that they draw themselves.

We are seeking images that reflect the spiritual and religious elements of the Advent and Christmas seasons such as pictures of angels, candles, wreathes, Our Lady and the Angel Gabriel, Our Lady and her cousin Elizabeth, the baby Jesus with Mary and Joseph, the trip to Bethlehem, Joseph asleep with the angel speaking to him, Christmas trees, the three Wise Men, the shepherds and sheep, etc. Images of inside or outside the church or the stained-glass windows would also be welcome, too. Please avoid Santa Claus, elves, reindeer, gifts, etc.

Pictures can be drawn in crayon, colored pencils or markers. Please note that brighter pictures show up best.

DO NOT put your name on the front of the picture. You may write your name in pencil on the back side. Students will only be identified by first name and last initial.

Artwork must be submitted to the school office, to your school or REP teacher, or to the parish office by Wednesday, November 10. Please print and use THIS Bulletin Cover Art Submission Form for each submission.

** Artwork not chosen for the bulletin will be featured on the parish website! **

We are excited to see your creativity!
