Please Join Us for Morning Rosary

Posted on October 26, 2021 by Published by

Fathers Arthur and Dominic cordially invite parishioners to join in praying a morning Rosary as a united parish family.

Beginning next week, the Rosary will be prayed in Our Lady of the Wayside Church at 8:00 am (prior to 8:30 am Daily Mass) on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

“All are invited, and we would like to extend a special invitation to OLW School and REP parents who drop off their children each morning to join us,” said Father Dominic. “The Rosary takes only 20 minutes to pray, and offers so many spiritual benefits to those who pray it,” he added.

“Join us for the Rosary and, if you can, stay for mass,” said Father Arthur. “Parishioners who pray the Rosary and receive the Eucharist together will unite and strengthen our parish.”

As a trial run, we started praying the Rosary this week and turnout was good.  We expect the numbers to increase as we increase awareness. Please join us, bring a friend (or two), and invite others come — discipleship!

Power in Prayer

Holy mother of Jesus, we honor you each time we pray the Most Holy Rosary.
Please intercede for our parishioners, for our Parish in your name, for our families,
for the Catholic Church and its shepherds,
for our country, and for our world.
Please pray for an increase in Faith, Hope and Charity.
Please pray for a Conversion of Hearts and Minds.
Please pray for Peace throughout our World.
Amen.

Our Lady of the Wayside, pray for us!

Rediscover the Rosary: The Modern Power of an Ancient Prayer, by Dynamic Catholic’s Matthew Kelly

In his words…

We live hectic lives in a chaotic world. All this can lead to a confusion that fogs the mind, unsettles the soul, and leads to poor decisions. Amidst such chaos and confusion, we long to hear God’s voice with greater clarity.

God wants to put things in order. He wants to rearrange our priorities. If we let him, we will be happier than we ever thought possible in this lifetime, and finally then we will come to know the peace for which we all yearn, but so few of us ever find. Our Catholic spirituality is constantly inviting us to establish the deep roots of order in our lives, and one of the best ways I know to do that is by praying the Rosary.

The Rosary works. It’s a very powerful way to pray. There is just something about it that settles our hearts and minds. It puts everything in perspective and allows us to see things as they really are. It reaches deep down into our souls and puts us at ease, creating a peace that is rare and beautiful.
