Religious Education Program Update
June 3 will be the last day of school for the year. An all school Mass for grades 1-7 will be celebrated at 10:30 with the school children.
REGISTRATION FOR REP CLASSES
If you know of a family in which the student will be entering 1st grade or 6th grade, please advise them of the following:
The Archdiocese of Chicago requires students entering Grade 2 to have had religious instruction the previous year, otherwise they will be placed in Grade 1. Grade 2 is a sacrament year, as students will receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist for the first time.
Students entering Grade 7 must have had religious instruction before being accepted into the Grades7-8 Confirmation Preparation Program.
Parents whose children will be new to the program are asked to turn in their registration form along with a copy of their child’s Baptismal Certificate. Forms can be online at the Parish Website, www.olwparish.org. Look under Religious Education found on the Education tab.
