Church Pews Receive Loving Refresh

Posted on March 9, 2021 by Published by

In the last several weeks, many OLW parishioners have expressed concern about the wear and tear our church pews are showing from the constant cleaning and disinfecting.  Kathy O’Neill, our Parish Coordinator of Pastoral Healthcare, and reopening team cleaning/disinfecting leader, has been in contact with our pew manufacturer who suggested we use lemon oil with a fine steel wool, to clean and remove the stickiness on the pews.

Today, with the help of Regina Kastner, OLW’s rectory/church manager, the dynamic duo refreshed all affected pews, putting a nice shine on them and removing the stickiness.  If you happen to see Kathy or Regina in Church or about town, please remember to extend your gratitude for their extra efforts to keep our pews in the best shape possible, and our church doors open, under difficult pandemic times.

Moving forward, our plan is to schedule pew cleanings once a month, with the help of volunteers. For those interested in helping, please look for a Signup Genius registration page… coming soon!
