Thanks to Elaine (and John) Clancy for 25 Years of Service to OLW’s RCIA Program

Please join the RCIA team in extending our thanks to Ms. Elaine Clancy for her longstanding service to OLW’s Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) program.

Elaine has served as the co-director of said program with numerous priests and deacons, most recently Deacon Mike Madison.  Hundreds of individuals—beyond the RCIA candidates and catechumens—have been the beneficiaries of Elaine’s patient, kind, wise, and self-giving nature.  As the point person in accompanying candidates and catechumens on their faith journey,

Elaine prepared and set-up RCIA meetings, provided opening and closing prayers, coordinated sponsors, shared her personal witness, provided theological reflections after RCIA was dismissed at Mass, helped coordinate RCIA liturgical events, and most importantly—accompanied candidates and catechumens throughout their faith journey.  With the support and assistance of her husband, John, and OLW priests and deacons, Elaine provided many with solid religious formation and helped them personally know Jesus Christ as their savior and God.

If you have been touched by Elaine in such a way, please feel free to let her know.  Expressions of thanks and appreciation may be left at our Parish Center or mailed to Elaine at 706 S. Highland Ave., Arlington Heights, IL 60005.

God’s peace, mercy, and love to you, Elaine.  We are infinitely thankful for your service.

Blessings!
Deacon Paul
