“Opening Our Doors” Campaign Update: (84%)
It has been several weeks since the last “Opening Our Doors to the Future” matching funds campaign update. MUCH has happened since!
Those who tuned into our Christmas Celebration 2020 programming had an opportunity to witness the power of our new video technology first hand. In addition to live-streaming Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Masses, we produced and streamed a live Christmas Organ/Cantor concert from our Church, a Christmas Concert and Photomontage of parishioner-summitted content, the OLW School Christmas Nativity Story, and more!
The primary goal of the Christmas Celebration 2020 programming was to unite our parish, and share the joy of the Season with all — even if virtually. We weren’t going to allow this pandemic to limit our connection with our Parish family. And parishioner feedback (via Facebook comments and email) was incredibly positive, which affirmed the success of the mission. Much of this would not have been possible — certainly not at the high quality we achieved — without funding that made our technology investment possible.
So we offer a HUGE shout-out of gratitude to our initial donor who pledged $50,000 (on a match basis) and to all who have supported the “Opening Our Doors” campaign thus far. YOU made Christmas Celebration 2020 possible! As of December 28, we have been blessed with $84,400 in generous donations — which puts us at 84.4% of our $100,000 goal.

More technology upgrades are planned as part of this campaign, including upgrading to fiberoptic internet (in progress), installing a videoconferencing suite (in progress), installation of video displays in our Church to enhance liturgies and worship, and more!
