Great news on our church reopening process!

The Chicago Archdiocese COVID-19 Task Force reached out to Father Artur Marat and Dan McMahon, Pastor and Lay Co-Leader of the Reopening Leadership Team, to congratulate our parish on successfully completing the reopening certification process.  The notice said, “Thank you for submitting your completed certification form and congratulations on achieving your Phase 1 & 1A certification!” and concluded with, “We thank you for your attention to the certification form and process, and also for your continued patience and cooperation.  May God bless you and your parishioners.”

Phase I allows for parishes to reopen for Baptism, Reconciliation, Weddings and Funerals with a limit of 10 attendees.  Phase IA allows for parishes to reopen for private prayer and adoration with a limit of 10 attendees.  Additional information on the reopening phases, as outlined by the Archdiocese of Chicago, can be found here.

“We are moving forward aggressively with Phase I and IA with the intent of initiating Phase II as soon as safely possible,” said Father Artur.  “Yesterday, we initiated the ‘Great Our Lady of the Wayside Reopening Campaign,’ asking for volunteers to sign up to assist team leaders in the process.  We look forward to progressing as quickly as possible with the help of our talented parishioner volunteers.”

Volunteers urgently needed…
