St Mark’s Food Pantry

Posted on April 24, 2020 by Published by

Last Sunday, Divine Mercy Sunday, Our Lady of the Wayside conducted a food drive for the St. Mark’s community.

The Wayside parishioners responded to the call and we collected 13 car-loads of food. This is the largest collection we have ever had (usually there’s 3 car-loads). Thank you to the OLW community for their fine support; and a special thanks goes to the OLW CFM (Christian Family Movement) for coordinating and staffing the activity. I will try to summarize the activity in a few thousand words:

Again, a special thanks to the Wayside CFM team for coordinating and collecting food. The cash contributions were used to buy perishable meat, veggies, milk, etc. – something we cannot do with the regular collections. Thank you to all who participated.
