Wheels to Worship Ministry Update!
If you are looking to serve our parish in 2020, OLW is in need of drivers for Wheels to Worship!
We do not just ATTEND Mass. We do not just GO TO Mass. We CELEBRATE Mass. In addition, like other celebrations in life – birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, or when your favorite sports team wins the championship title – we want our entire family with us to enrich the experience. Some of our family at Our Lady of the Wayside cannot be with us for this weekly celebration simply because they no longer drive.
We have a ministry to meet this need. The Wheels to Worship ministry, utilizes volunteer drivers to bring our OLW sisters and brothers to church to celebrate Mass with us. The Archdiocese of Chicago has approved Wheels to Worship.
Some volunteers drive every week, and some drive once a month. But drivers all agree it is more than a ride, it means so much to the passengers, and as a driver, it will mean so much to you.
