Hundreds Bid Farewell To Father Ed!
More than 500 Our Lady of the Wayside parishioners-and former parishioners-said “Good Bye,” and “Thanks”-to departing pastor Father Ed Fialkowski as he celebrated his last Mass at OLW Sunday and greeted parishioners at a reception in the Father Mackin Center. Father Ed, who served at Our Lady of the Wayside as Pastor for 14 years, has been reassigned as an Associate Pastor at St. Luke Parish in River Forest.
Sunday’s farewell event was planned, coordinated by Katie Aulenta, who also has coordinated Our Lady of the Wayside Picnics, along with her husband Mike for the past four years.
