REP NEWS – Week of August 19th
CATECHISTS ARE DESPERATELY NEEDED IN THE FOLLOWING GRADES FOR THIS 2019-2020 YEAR!
- Grade 3 – 1 Catechist
- Grade 4 – 1 Catechist
We currently have classes of students with no assigned Catechist. Please consider volunteering for this very important ministry of educating our parish children in the Catholic faith. The teacher manuals are very easy to follow and have many helpful suggestions for each lesson.
Sister Adrienne and Sister Joan will assist new Catechists in getting started and give continued help throughout the year. Call the Religious Education Office for any information about a particular grade – 847-398-5011. You can also email repsecretary@olwparish.org
Wednesday, August 21
School Sixth Graders will receive their Bibles in Church after the 8:30 a.m. Mass within a short Bible Blessing Service.
Monday, August 26
Mass Practice for School Eighth Grade Students from 11:50 a.m.-12:30 p.m. (Ms. Rachel Laughland’s Eighth Grade Class).
Wednesday, August 27
Mass Practice for School Eighth Grade Students from 11:50 a.m.-12:00 p.m. (Ms. Rachel Laughland’s Eighth Grade Class).
Thursday, August 29 – 8:30 a.m.
Beginning-of-the-Year School Mass. Ms. Rachel Laughland’s 8th grade students will have special participation in the Mass.
