REP NEWS – Week of August 12th

CATECHISTS ARE NEEDED IN THE FOLLOWING GRADES FOR THIS 2019-20 YEAR

We are desperately in need of the following volunteers:

• 1 Catechist for Grade 3, meets every Tuesday from 4:00-5:15 p.m.
• 1 Catechist for Grade 4, meets every Tuesday from 4:00-5:15 p.m.

Anyone interested in sharing their faith with the young children in our parish are asked to contact Sister Adrienne or Sister Joan at 847-398-5011 or email repsecretary@olwparish.org.

Please consider volunteering for this very important ministry of educating our parish children in the Catholic faith.  The teacher manuals are very easy to follow and have many helpful suggestions for each lesson.  Sister Adrienne and Sister Joan assist new Catechists in getting started and give continued help throughout the year. All the help and materials will be provided to be a successful Catechist and feel the positive rewards of working with children to help them learn and develop the roots of faith.  Call the Religious Education Office for any information about a particular grade – 847-255-0050, x241.

CATECHISTS MEETINGS
Catechists Meetings scheduled in the evening for the following dates:

• Monday, August 12 Grades 3-4, Elementary school multipurpose room
• Tuesday, August 13 Grades 5-6, Middle School room 11

REGISTRATION FOR THE RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAM, GRADES 1-8, FOR 2019-20

At the present time, we have three classes of first grade students. When each of these classes reaches a capacity quota, we will be closing registration for grade 1 unless two volunteers step forward to co-teach a fourth class.

Parents who have first grader are asked to register as soon as possible since we are reaching class size limits rapidly.  Registration forms can be found on the parish website (click here).   If you have any questions, please call the Office at 847-398-5011. Letters regarding class placement and Catechists’ Assignments will be sent out the third week of August.
