Cookies For Kairos Prison Ministry

Posted on March 20, 2019 by Published by

Kairos, a Christian ecumenical team which visits prisons and hosts 3 day retreats, needs 3,000 dozen home-made cookies for their upcoming retreat at Stateville Correctional Center April 27th through 30th. These volunteers are advocates for Christ in an effort to change inmates’ lives for the better.

The cookies are placed on each table in a constantly filled bowl representing God’s overflowing and abundant love. The team brings the Word and Light of the Lord to a dark place. St. Edna Church (2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd.) is the drop off for all cookies. The cookies can be placed in the kitchen, east of the worship space. The dates are: April 13th and 14th from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on both days.

Recipes and instructions are at the church entrance, office and on the website http://www.stedna.org/humanconcerns/ Prison Ministry.

Thank you for your support of this ministry.
