AS WE START THE NEW YEAR, CONSIDER SERVING IN WHEELS TO WORSHIP!!
“Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for the least of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:40
If you are looking to serve our parish in 2020, OLW is in need of drivers for Wheels to Worship.
We do not ATTEND Mass. We do not GO TO to Mass. We CELEBRATE Mass. In addition, like other celebrations in life, birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, or when your favorite sports team wins the championship title, we want our entire family with us to enrich the experience. Some of our family at Our Lady of the Wayside cannot be with us for this weekly celebration simply because they no longer drive.
We have a ministry to meet this need. Our ministry, Wheels to Worship, has volunteer drivers bring our OLW sisters and brothers to church to celebrate Mass with us. The Archdiocese of Chicago has approved Wheels to Worship. Some volunteers drive every week, and some drive once a month. Drivers all agree it is more than a ride, it means so much to the passengers, and as a driver, it will mean so much to you.
