This Friday, September 11 is our monthly group CFM meeting.
In recognition of 19th Anniversary of 9/11, we have a poem written by Ron Madison, father of Deacon Mike Madison. The picture was taken just weeks before the attack and his words were written just 4 days after 9/11/01.
I think we can all agree that our country is still in need of prayers from the faithful.
Speaking of prayers, thank you for all your prayers this month. We continue to pray for:
-June Bourke. June’s daughter, Mary, came from New Jersey with her two children to help care for June in home hospice. Sadly, June passed on September 10. Mary’s friends have set up a meal sign-up site. Here is the link: https://www.giveinkind.com/inkinds/R8T2T3R/supporting-mary-vonckx-while-caring-for-june#
-Rosemarie Duffy as she continues to heal from surgery
-Tom and Irene Corcoran as they mourn the loss of thier nephew, Jim Simmons
-Sara and Joe Zimmerman, as they mourn the loss of Sara’s father, Dr. Francis Conway
We will be covering Chapter 1 “Life and the Dignity of the Person” in our Love in Action program books. The chapter can also be found on the National CFM website (cfm.org). Please watch the video (3:27) with your group that is found at https://www.crs.org/resource-center/CST-101
If you are part of a Hybrid group, your Leader Couple will let you know where you are meeting (either outside or inside at the OLW campus, or virtually) We will make the decision based on the weather forecast at 5:00 PM on Friday.
If you are part of a Virtual group, or a hybrid group meeting virtually this month, here is the information you need to join your meeting.

Actions for September
We are focusing our Action this month on the elderly and those who are unable to leave their homes.
Kathy Wilk has provided us with the beautiful flyer and instructions attached to this email.
Our own Don Piergalski, a long time CFM family member, has been donating his time and energy to the St. Mark’s Food Pantry for years. In order to stream line his volunteers, he has set up a Signup Genius (organized by Erin Berwick. Thanks Erin!!!) Please follow the link below and sign up to help either collect food on a Sunday morning or deliver food on a Saturday morning. The Signup Genius explains it all! Thanks, in advance!!!
