November 2019 Meeting
We look forward to seeing everyone tonight for our November Meeting where we will be covering the attached Chapter 3 – Intentional Communication: Affirmation and Criticism. Please review the chapter and reflect on the Observe, Judge and Act pieces of the reading.
The Leader’s Meeting starts promptly at 7:00 p.m. in the Gathering Space to get the Leader Couples to the host homes by 8:00 p.m. to start the group meetings by 8:15 p.m. We are trying to be mindful of some of our member’s curfews.
Night of Service Recap
Thank you to the Leigh group and all of the extra helpers that made this a great night. Also, thank you to all that attended and helped prepare for the event. Over 50 cards were delivered to the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky, just in time for Veterans Day. We completed over 30 blankets for Project Linus. The speakers were great and provided wonderful insights into what their ministries are doing.
If you have any follow-on questions for Catholic Charities or Mr. Tantillo’s charity MAAPF please let me know, and I can share their contact information with you. Also, we received extra handouts from Catholic Charities, which will be available at tonight’s meeting. Here is a link to the Catholic Charities Presentation in case you wanted to see the slides.
Finally, please let us know your feedback on the event with the following link: Night of Service Survey Link
Upcoming: Thanksgiving Agape. Please see the attached invitation for the Thanksgiving Agape.
Interesting Reading: One of our CFM Members shared the attached ‘Letter to the Mayor’ regarding issues in local government, specifically on the VAH licensing recreational use drugs. Of note, CFM does not endorse the attached letter. My goal is to provide one point of view and raise awareness of timely issues in our community.
Admin: Attached are updated sheets of CFM Members. If there are any outstanding corrections needed, please let me know.
Closing Note: The Archdiocese had a great meeting last Wednesday night regarding the process of selecting a new pastor. It was great to see so many CFM members in the audience and to hear how important CFM is to them and their faith. It really is an honor to get to chair the group with my wife this year.
If you are interested in stepping up into any leadership positions next year, please let us and/or the Loy’s know. CFM is a great ministry, and it is that way because of all of the great people in the community.
