Testimonials from Past Participants…
From Kirk…
The OLW RCIA program gave me an opportunity to become more connected to my faith and the OLW community as a whole. The small group environment allowed for active participation and meaningful discussions with the other catechumens, sponsors and church leaders. I looked forward to each week’s meeting and the topics for discussion. It allowed me to grow my faith and be connected to our parish community.
From Jacob…
My RCIA experience at OLW was everything I was hoping for and more! Weekly meetings were always extremely inviting and something I looked forward to. Learning about the Catholic faith with my RCIA group was a pleasure. Truly a special journey for myself and grateful for the OLW community.
From Ed…
The journey towards my confirmation was a transformative experience, one that reignited my faith and enriched my life in profound ways. I am deeply grateful for the dedication and inspiration provided by the volunteers of the RCIA group. Their personal stories and unwavering commitment to their faith served as a beacon of light, guiding me back to the path I had wandered from. Each volunteer brought a unique perspective, and their collective wisdom and kindness were instrumental in my spiritual renewal.
From Michael…
RCIA is a program with only benefits. At worst, you’ll learn about the history of God, the life of Jesus and his disciples, and how the Catholic church was established and operates. At best, a spiritual awakening bringing you closer to God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I entered the program as a curious but skeptical “non-religious” person who thought maybe I’d make some friends. The friendships came, but my connection to the Catholic church, Our Lady of the Wayside and God fulfilled my soul in ways that I wish I had the words for. Not everything is fact or fiction. Faith lives in the grey, and if you’re willing and open minded, you may find what I found….Jesus.
