Summer Mission Trip Thank You

Our summer mission trip with Catholic Heart Workcamp was a success! Nine teens traveled to Huntingburg, Indiana with 3 adult chaperones on a joint trip with Holy Family Community in Inverness. We stayed at South Ridge High School which is right on the Central/Eastern time zone line which made keeping on schedule more interesting. The daily schedule consisted of breakfast and Mass before heading to worksites from 9am – 3pm. Twenty nine work groups served at forty one locations helping numerous people. After returning to the high school was showers and free time, dinner and evening programs. Evening programs included audience participation activities, praise and worship, motivating speakers, confession, adoration shared prayer and dancing! Pictures coming soon!!

A special shout out to our two volunteer chaperones Thomas McKenna and Dave Woods who took time away from their families and jobs to work hard, sleep on air mattresses and take cold showers for this opportunity for our teens.
