REP News – Week of July 1st

NEEDS FOR R.E.P. PROGRAM IN 2019-2020

The R.E.P. program is need of Catechists for the following grades beginning in September, 2019:

1 Catechist for Grade 3, meets every Tuesday from 4:00-5:15 p.m.
1 Catechist for Grade 4, meets every Tuesday from 4:00-5:15 p.m.
1 Catechist for Grade 5, meets every other Tuesday from 7:00-8:30 p.m.
1 Catechist for Grade 8, meets every other Tuesday from 7:00-8:30 p.m.

Please consider this ministry and join other dedicated Catechists who impart their faith and knowledge to the children of our parish. Both Sister Joan and Sister Adrienne provide support and direction throughout the year. The texts are very easy to use and lend additional supplements for instruction. Please call the R.E.P. office, 847-398-5011, and we can give you more information.

CONFIRMATION REQUIREMENTS:
Grade 6 is a pre-requisite for entering the Confirmation preparation program. Preparation for Confirmation takes place in grades 7 and 8. Students entering Grade 7 must have had formal religious instruction in Grade 6, otherwise they will be placed in Grade 6 instead of Grade 7. During the two-year preparation program for the Sacrament of Confirmation, students are to attend classes regularly with as little absence as possible if they wish to be confirmed in Grade 8.
